A complete transmission service should include: • removing and examining the sump or pan (where possible) replacing or cleaning the screen or filter. This also usually involves changing the transmission fluid, filter, and gasket, removing any sediment or pieces of shrapnel and debris that have been ground off the transmission over the years. 

The differential is a gearbox located between the drive wheels on your vehicle. Most four-wheel drive vehicles have both a front and rear differential. Differentials work with your transmission to deliver power from your engine to the axle that turns your wheels. Your differential fluid needs to be replaced at regular intervals to keep your vehicle running properly. Poor or imporperly functioning differentials can cause damage and costly repairs!
